Managing Director

Mr. Thomas is a distinguished Investment Banker, with a career  spanning over two decades in finance. He has prefaced both the public and private sectors.

An Economics graduate with an M.Sc degree in Finance, Mr. Thomas joined Intercontinental Bank Plc in 1989.  He managed the bank’s Investment Banking Group where he handled various capital issues.  He has previously worked with Central Bank of Nigeria (1979-1981), ICON ( Merchant Bankers) Limited and Federal Ministry of Industries, World Bank assisted Small Scale Industry Division.

He is presently  the Managing Director of Intercontinental Capital Markets Limited (ICML).

Mr. Thomas facilitated the various business combination, processes, including mergers/acquisitions and strategic corporate Buy-in, leading to the emergence of the global Intercontinental Group (Intercontinental Bank Plc – Equity Bank Ltd - Associated Discount House – Gateway Bank Plc – WAPIC Insurance Plc – Intercontinental Securities Limited – Intercontinental Capital Markets Limited).

He has attended courses on Managing Marketing with International Institute of Management Development, Lausanne, Switzerland; International Capital Market training with Euro money, Surrey, England, Bank Risk Management with International Development Institute, Dublin, Ireland and Senior Management Programme with Lagos Business School amongst others. 

Head- Financial Advisory Division

Head- Financial Advisory Division reports to the managing director on the activities of the financial advisory and Venture Capital Groups. A trained economist and former lecturer; he is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and holds a Masters degree in Economics majoring in money and finance. He has over 20 years cognate work experience.

Head, Capital Markets Group

Mrs. Macaulay holds a first degree in Accounting and a Masters degree in Business Administration. A graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers, she has over the years acquired a wealth of experience, particularly in packaging and facilitating privatisation assignments for government agencies and private sector concerns. This has enabled her to build a massive network of partners/firms locally and abroad who are experienced in privatisation assignments. She fully understands the dynamics of professional due diligence processes and other coordination issues peculiar to privatisation.

For over eleven years she has been involved in packaging of several issues including Trans International Bank PLC, African Petroleum Plc, Daily Times Plc, Crusader Insurance Plc, Wema Bank Plc, WAPIC Insurance Plc.

She has attended several courses and workshops including Workshop on Micro Finance organised by USAID, Workshop on Public Offer of Securities, Merger and Acquisition, disclosure and other Securities Exchange Commission’s requirements.

Head, Financial Advisory Group

Biodun Sofoluwe has two degrees in Business Administration and Political Science and he is also a Chartered Accountant. He is widely exposed to the complex issues in International assets trading/securitisation and the settlement dynamics of sovereign debt instrument trading i.e Promissory Notes, Brady Bonds and other instruments for direct investment or debt conversion, capital importation and repatriation transactions. He manages the foreign currency denominated financial assets portfolio of the company with particular emphasis on cross-border risk management and arbitraging opportunities.

Company Secretary and Legal Adviser

Mr. Ogunsan holds a first degree in law. He worked with some reputable law firms before starting his banking career with EIB International Bank Plc, where he was actively involved in the preparation and perfection of various legal documents.

He is presently the Company Secretary and Legal Adviser of Intercontinental Capital Markets Limited (ICML).

Head, Internal Control

Mr. Soname has over fourteen years professional experience spanning accounting, finance and insurance in Continental Pharmaceutical Limited, Meritas Group of Companies, Adekunle Alli & Co ( Accounting Firm), Federal Inland Revenue Service, Financial Spectrum Limited and Investment & Allied Assurance Company Limited were he spent seven years.

Mr. Soname obtained a HND in accountancy from the Yaba College of Technology Yaba,Lagos. He is a Chartered Accountant and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Secretaries & Administrators (London).

Head, Assets Management Group

Mrs. Ronke Bamgbala holds a first degree in Business Administration and is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria, She has cognate experience in money and asset management. She plays a key role in structuring the portfolio mix of the gratuity scheme.

Head, Venture Capital Group

Lekan Ewedairo is a graduate of Business Administration from the University of Lagos, Akoka. He also obtained an MBA (FIN.) degree from the same University. He is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (ACIB) an also member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. His experience in banking that spanned over 12 years started with FBN PLC. His experience includes Banking Operations, Internal Control/Audit, Credit Analysis/Investment Appraisal and Credit Risk Management and Control. He joined ICML in June 2004. He is presently the Head, Venture Capital Group.

Head, Project Monitoring Group

Mr Simeon Onyejose is the Head of Project Monitoring and Risk Assets Management Group. He holds B.Sc. Agricultural Economics. Executive Diploma in Export Marketing Management amd Masters in Business Administration (MBA). An Associate of Nigerian Institute of Management (ANIM).

He has over twelve (12) years work experience in Commodity Trading, Project Finance/Management, Credit Analysis and Administration, and Venture Capital Operations.

Head, Management Information System

Mr. Dokun Ogunba is an accountancy graduate from The Polytechnic Ilaro. He is also an associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. He has cognate experience in audit, financial control and business advisory services.

He is an alumnus of the prestigious audit firm, PriceWaterHouse Coopers.

He presently heads the Management Information Systems Group of Intercontinental Capital Markets Limited.
